Description

High optical stability: No adjustment of the light beam is necessary because the filament is always correctly positioned relative to the lamp reflector. Easy prism replacement (quick-change prism).

• Increased light output: Maintenance of reflector performance: The reflector is part of the light source and is replaced when the lamp is changed

The runway centerline under-runway light is a dual-beam high-intensity light, in accordance with the recommendations in Paragraph 5.3.12 of Volume I of ICAO Annex 14, FAA Standards L-850A, STANAG 3316, CAP 168, and British Standards BS 3224. The light is equipped with one or two 6.6 A halogen lamps with dichroic reflectors, each not exceeding 45 W. The lamp life is over 1,500 hours at full luminous intensity. Control is possible depending on the approach direction. All external parts are made of anodized hard-cast aluminum. The springs and screws are made of stainless steel. The outer diameter is 203 mm (8“) and has a raised edge of 12.7 mm (1/2”). The light can be installed directly in an 8" mounting bracket or in an FAA L-868B mounting bracket with an adapter ring.

The design allows for easy maintenance:

• Quick-change prisms.
• The filters are dichroic.
• The main components are shared among the lights in the same series. - The light requires no adjustment.
