DeWiTec installs and maintains lighting systems and other systems at airports, heliports, and structures. As a specialized company, DeWiTec possesses the necessary qualifications for this work. Our employees are familiar with working in the aviation security area of commercial airports, during flight operations, both day and night, and with the specific challenges associated with such work.

To enhance our employees’ qualifications and ensure the safety of people and the operational safety of the systems, our team receives ongoing training and professional development. When necessary, work is also performed during ongoing operations and at night. Maintenance is tailored to the specific local systems in accordance with applicable regulations and is documented.

Maintenance of Airport Lighting Systems

Maintenance
Regular inspections and system tests of all system components are essential to maintain functionality and operational safety.
Our personnel have access to a modern fleet of service vehicles specially equipped for on-site maintenance, enabling all necessary work to be carried out quickly and efficiently.


24-Hour Service
During operation and in the event of unforeseen requirements, our service team is available around the clock. This enables us to ensure both the reliable performance of routine maintenance work and the minimization of system downtime. We offer service packages tailored to your local systems and covering the following areas:

  • Maintenance of the entire airfield lighting system, including:

  • Maintenance of runway lights

  • Maintenance of taxiway lights

  • Maintenance of apron lighting

  • Maintenance of obstruction lighting systems

  • Maintenance of taxiway guidance signs, including cleaning and, where necessary, replacement of defective light sources, optics, seals, mounting bases and frangible couplings

  • Maintenance / overhaul of airport beacons

  • Maintenance of switchgear and series circuits

  • Inspection of switchgear, including insulation measurements and loop resistance measurements of individual circuits

  • Cleaning of switchgear

  • Adjustment of constant current regulators

  • Inspections in accordance with DIN VDE 0100 Part 610 as well as the applicable regulations and guidelines of the German Social Accident Insurance institutions

  • Maintenance of emergency power supply systems

  • Inspection of portable electrical equipment in accordance with DIN VDE 0701 and 0702

Installation of Airport Equipment

Reliability and safety in our conduct and in the performance of aviation security-related work at commercial airports during construction projects carried out while flights are in operation—both day and night—are our top priorities.

For this reason, DeWiTec GmbH employs only workers with a skilled trades certificate—preferably from the electrical industry or the electrical trades—as well as master electricians, state-certified technicians, and electrical engineers. Through the projects they have completed to date and the training they have received, our employees have acquired specialized expertise in the installation and maintenance of lighting systems and other aviation-related systems, in addition to their technical qualifications. In addition, our employees are familiar with work in the aviation safety sector at commercial airports, during flight operations, both during the day and at night, and with the associated specific requirements.
